There’s a whole week dedicated to just Negroni? Yes!
For one week in September, bars and restaurants will mix classic Negronis and Negroni variations for a great cause!
The reason behind Negroni Week, happening September 18-24, is actually really cool. You see way back in 2013 a magazine dedicated to liquid culture such as cocktails, spirits, wine and beer, launched Negroni Week as a celebration of the world’s greatest cocktail.
That’s a big call! When in a lineup you could easily identify the common culprits – Daiquiri, Gin and Tonic, Kir Royale, Bloody Mary… Mimosa. Okay! We’ll stop…
Back to Negroni. The real reason Negroni Week was created was to raise funds for charitable causes around the world. At the time there were about 120 participating venues but today there are literally thousands globally, with more than $4 million raised through the initiative for charitable organisations.
How to participate?
1. Register your venue here.
2. Make a donation.
3. Serve a classic Negroni or variation, all week long.
