The Good Food & Wine Show makes a stellar return in its 22nd year to Brisbane this October, celebrating the very best in Australian produce, winemakers, artisan, and Chefs from around the nation.
The show will take guests on an epicurean journey around the country’s top wine regions; pour tipples of more than 500+ wines from the likes of Barossa, McLaren Vale, Southern Queensland, Margaret River and the Clare Valley; plate up more than 60 different cheeses from Queensland to France and host brand-new masterclasses and Chef demonstrations like never before.
If you missed the event in other Australian regions this year, head to Brisbane on October 27-29, as it ends its National Tour.
Celebrity Chefs:
Of particular interest to her 1.1 million Instagram followers is Nagi Maehashi of RecipeTin Eats. Miguel Maestre (aka the Crazy Bull), Justine Schofield and Kirsten Tibballs, the actual Chocolate Qeen, who will ignite multiple stages with flavour!
Fromage:
For those who fancy a washed-rind, aged or a little smelly bite, The Smelly Cheese masterclass is back for another year, guiding aspiring curd-nerds through artisanal cheese masterclasses and hand-selected Australian and international cheese from France’s cheese expert, Valérie Henbest.
Cocktails and Mocktails:
Adding some fizz to the mix this year, the SodaStream Mixology Moments masterclass offers guests the chance to create their own cocktails or mocktails to spark the senses, adding a creative twist to a classic or shaking up a new creation.
Wine:
Wine enthusiasts can attend a palate appreciation class at the RIEDEL Drinks Lab hosted by wine expert Nick Ryan and sample top wine varieties.
Plant-based:
Another highlight this year is the v2food Plant-based Cooking Stage where you can experience mouth-watering dishes cooked to perfection by Brendan Pang and Miguel Maestre. From spicy Sichuan-style dumplings to katsu plant-based 'chicken' curry, guests can sample the tasty creations, for free!
