Absolutely magnificant. One of the best restaurants on the planet. The breads are outstanding. You will not find better, I guarantee. And they keep topping up your plate. The casual atmosphere is relaxing and the food outstanding. Well done. I look forward to eating here many, many times in the future.
One of my favourite Melbourne CBD places for breakfast or lunch - haven't really done the full dinner bit there yet. Dishes a bit put of the ordinary (for example, a wagyu corned beef, cheese and tomato sandwich rather than the more usual ham) but prices are quite competitive - the full breakfast is much the same price ($18.50 from memory) as in any other halfway decent cafe. And if you like your eggs soft in all senses of the word, try the house smoked salmon with 65/65 egg - cooked at 65 degrees for 65 minutes.
Our party of three had a brilliant night. Food was amazing and looking forward to having the roast leg of lamb again! Not a quite fine dining place, but never tries to be and atmosphere adds to the experience (people watching both on the floor and in the kitchen) Highly recommend Cumulus and will be definitely going back.
