About Flower Drum
Flower drum has a well known history amongst foodies and Melbournians alike. An unlikely building is the venue for this Cantonese culinary delight, which is accessed predominantly by a lift, or stairs, if you want to build the appetite. It maybe windowless but the décor of the roomy dining room keeps you interested; with traditional artworks and flower arrangements in a warm setting. The menu could include Roast Duck breast Tender whole roasted duck breast served w/a sour tangerine skin sauce or Quail Sang Choi Bao.

Absolutely excellent food here, just go hungry so that you can enjoy it all. There was so much choice on the menu that was the only sticking point at lunch and parking was difficult too.
The food here is incredible. We had a set menu of about 5-7 dishes and each one was sensational. The service was great, and the staff very accomadating. I was disappointed in the decor. With the menu prices being on the high side, I would expect the setting to be a reflection. It looks like it hasn't been renovated since the 80's. This place falls a long way short of current design standards. But the food is flawless.
