Set under soaring wood ceilings, the restaurant at Tower Lodge on Halls Road in Pokolbin is designed to mirror the Hunter Valley’s intrinsic connection with food and wine. Drawing fresh local produce from a community of local Hunter Valley producers and growers, as well as from the Hope family’s own Angus cattle farms in the lush green pastures of the Upper Hunter, the menu is a culinary experience of the region best shared with a loved one, or with family and friends around the table. Guests will enjoy dishes that are simple and unpretentious, healthy and hearty, inspiring and imaginative. Perhaps start with prawn and white fish cappelletti with lobster bisque before sharing the slow braised Margra Australia white lamb houlder with kipfler potatoes, shallots and buttered broccolini.
