Age of Fishes Museum

A chance find near Canowindra in 1956 has provided a remarkable fossil collection. Many of these fossils are now on display. The museum contains well preserved remains of long extinct fish. Some of these fish had bony armour and others had lungs. There were also huge predators with crocodile like jaws. There is also an aquarium display, gift shop, geological time walk, sculpture garden and outdoor picnic area. Groups welcome-please book in advance. Admission charges apply.
