More About Barossa Farmers Market
Welcome to the Barossa Farmers Market; real food from the farms and homes of the Barossa.
The Barossa Farmers Market is a genuine, local produce market, permanently located undercover in the Vintners Sheds, Angaston. This means you can do your weekly grocery shopping regardless of the weather and safe in the knowledge that your produce will always be fresh, healthy and part of a fair exchange between consumer and producer.
And what produce it is! We have an amazing array of stallholders selling a beautiful selection of fresh fruit and vegetables, herbs, chicken, duck, beef, pork, lamb, specialty breads, the Barossa's famous smallgoods, fresh milk, stunning pastries and baked goods, honey, olive oil and olives, freshly roasted coffee and blended teas and confectionery (phew!). For a full list of our lovely producers check out our Producer Directory.
Our producers are the lifeblood of our market. They work extremely hard to bring the freshest, most nutritious and lovingly grown produce to market. In many cases they harvest, bake and blend on Friday afternoon before the market but it's not uncommon to see some bleary eyes on Saturday morning from producers who have been up harvesting by torch light that very morning!
So if you want only the very best produce, if you want to support agricultural diversity and environmental sustainability and if you want a damn fine breakfast and coffee into the bargain, we'll see you next Saturday at the market!
