About Barrier Ranges Sunset Sculptures

Embrace the serene beauty of an outback sunset with a trip to Barrier Ranges Sunset Sculptures, a collection of sandstone masterpieces situated on an outback hilltop. 12 kilometres north of Broken Hill, the Barrier Ranges Sunset Sculptures are visible for over 100 kilometres, some of which are up to 14 feet high and weighing up to 8 tonnes. Created in 1993 by Lawrence Beck and 12 sculptors from around the world, these incredible attractions are best viewed at both dusk and dawn, when the light and shadows intertwine to create a picturesque outback panorama. Make the most of your trip and perhaps take a guided day tour with Tri State Safari and Adventures Tours.
