About Chinchilla Museum

To enjoy an old time experience in the Western Downs, why not take a trip to the Chinchilla Historical Museum. Containing exhibits depicting the early history of the area, displays within the museum include a steam sawmill from 1910, steam traction engine and the Kathleen Emmerson Memorial Library, containing a myriad of historical information on Chinchilla. Buildings from early village times have been re-erected on the grounds of Chinchilla Historical Museum, adding to the old world ambience.
