About Combo Waterhole
An iconic Australian attraction, Combo Waterhole is said to be the inspiration for the A.B. (Banjo) Paterson's famous song "Waltzing Matilda", composed there in 1895. Noted for its historic stone pitched causeways built by Chinese labourers in 1883, Combo Waterhole is a serene outback area, a favourite spot with the locals to fish, swim or for camping. Picnic facilities are also located at Combo Waterhole, where while visiting, you may be lucky enough to spot some of the local wildlife inhabitants.
