About Cummins Theatre
Heritage listed and a proud fixture in Merredin's cultural programming, Cummins Theatre was one of the first venues to show "talking" pictures in the Commonwealth. Opening in 1928, Cummins Theatre has, for eight decades and counting, been serving as a centre for performances and social functions to the local and wider community, rustic in charm and creatively inspiring in content. Many accomplished artists from Australia and all across the globe have graced the Cummins Theatre, including the iconic Slim Dusty and AC/DC, also hosting a number of performing arts events from dance to live theatre.
