About Fitzroy Reef
32 nautical miles from the town of Seventeen Seventy is the spectacular Fitzroy Reef. This naturally formed coral creation is home to a range of marine creatures, from Manta rays to dolphins, turtles, and the majestic - but harmless - Fitzroy sharks. Up to 1,000 species of small, colourful fish will accompany you on a snorkel around the reef, which is known as one of the most bio-diverse ecosystems in the world. Scuba diving is available at around 12 dives sites of Fitzroy Reef, each varying in depth and difficulty.
