About Gawler Ranges National Park
An awe inspiring arid landscape of large hills, rocky gorges and gullies, Gawler Ranges National Park offers visitors an eco playground of historic and geological features. Created around 1,500 million years ago,the spectacular Gawler Ranges embodies a range of volcanic rock formations, particularly Kolay Mirica Falls and the Organ Pipes, alongside the heritage sites like Policeman's Point and the Old Paney Homestead. Gawler Ranges National Park is also home to a range of native creatures, so keep an eye out for the southern hairy-nosed wombat, pink cockatoo and the scarlet breasted parrot.
