About Home Hill
Once home to the family of Tasmania's only Prime Minister, Home Hill provides an insight into the lives of Joseph Lyons, Dame Enid Lyons and their 12 children. Built for the Lyons family in 1916, Home Hill was where family and politics were under the one roof, today housing a rich collection of personal materials to provide visitors with an insight into Australian political life during the mid twentieth century. Fully furnished and containing a myriad of mementos of the life of a Prime Minister, Home Hill is a must when exploring amongst Devonport history.
