About Market Square Museum
Take a trip back to Burra's past with a stopover at Market Square Museum. Opened by the National Trust in 1966, this old style general store is Burra's first museum, originally operating as a store and doubling as a family home from the 1880's. Take a look at the shop's vintage memorabilia, including clothes, rooms and posters before indulging your sweet tooth with some nostalgic sweets for sale. Market Square Museum also offers locally made goods and handicrafts, with tours running from 3:30pm to 5:00 pm daily.
