About Morphett's Enginehouse Museum
See the world's only known reconstructed Cornish enginehouse at Morphett's Enginehouse Museum, situated within the Burra Mine Site. The fully functional enginehouse - dating back to 1986 - can be visited on a tour of the mine, where a guide will explain the engine's working. Visitors to Morphett's Enginehouse Museum are encouraged to examine the three storey building and it's contained information. Original pumping equipment, along with the remains of several mine buildings, are on display, with views of the mineshaft through the underground adit.
