About Point Lowly Lighthouse
Built in 1883, Point Lowly Lighthouse offers the sea breeze, coastal air and stunning gulf views across to the Southern Flinders Ranges. A 20 minute drive from Whyalla, Point Lowly Lighthouse and its two keeper's cottages are amongst the oldest buildings in the area, manned for 90 years before becoming automated in the 1970's. While the cottage's remain available for cottage accommodation, the Point Lowly Lighthouse is a hotspot for watching dolphins and coastal birdlife, its rocky shoreline popular for fishing.
