About Red Banks Conservation Park
Described as one of the richest mega fauna sites in Australia, Red Banks Conservation Park features a landscape of rugged red earth gorges, spring fed waterholes and fossilised mega fauna remains. Just 15 kilometres east of Burra, Red Bank offers camping, picnic and bushwalking facilities for you to thoroughly enjoy exploring amongst the region. Follow the Landscape of Change walk and learn about the landscapes and the theories of extinction and admire the park's two deep cut creek lines, which often reach up to 15 metres high. Keep an eye out for echidnas, wombats and kangaroos along the way.
