Seventy Five Mile Beach
Seventy Five Mile Beach, Fraser Island QLD
About Seventy Five Mile Beach
Named after its approximate length, Seventy Five Mile Beach runs across the east coast of Fraser Island, not exactly a surfing hotspot, but a prime island attraction never the less. Not to discourage the sunbakers from finding a spot on the soft white sand for a day of island basking, Seventy Five Mile Beach calls the four wheel drivers to come spin their wheels in the sand, also doubling as an air strip for those flying in from Hervey Bay. Steer clear of the water and admire it from Indian Head, where you can often see sharks about the surf. To satisfy your swimming needs, head to Champagne Pools. Maheno Wreck sits beached at the water's edge, a must to explore whilst walking the shores.
