About Perth Zoo
Australia’s best small zoo is just 5 minutes from the Perth CBD on the banks of the Swan River. Perth Zoo is open every day of the year - in fact it has not closed for a single day since it opened back in 1898. You will need at least half-a-day to see everything Perth Zoo has to offer but a full day is recommended; so as to make the most of your visit. The Zoo can be reached by river ferry or bus and contains a well laid out collection of native and exotic animals.

Being over 10 years since my last visit and I was really very impressed with Perth Zoo. Great facilities and easy to navigate, find and view the animals. Good food options and again facilities. The Orang-utans environment was top rate.
