History:Having been working as a kitchen contractor for the past 10 years helping people to setup commercial kitchens, I have finally taken the big leap and realized my dream of opening my own café to provide great food and a cosy garden for my friends to hang around, so here
it is – 12’s Café & Co.
Have you always wanted to be a Chef?No, not really. I was more passionate about eating, but because of my love for food, I started to find out about how everything was made and where it came from. One thing lead to another and I have now started my adventurous chef journey with a vision to integrate different Asian elements into local culinary culture, in another word serve multiculturalism on a plate.
How would you define your style?Modern Asian (with influences from Chinese and Japanese).
What is your feature flavour these days?Roast Duck Wrap and Crispy Hainanese Chicken Salad.
Obsessive compulsive about? Crispness.
Your greatest culinary inspirations/influences:Family, to cook a nice meal for the family is the most satisfying, through the dishes, I can show my love to them, without saying too much, as I am a shy person.
What do you love about this business?To meet new people and share my vision.
An ingredient you can’t live without?Very typical Chinese…Garlic.
Most ‘eyebrow raising’ menu item?Crackling Crackle.
