About Tumuli Lava Blisters
Believed to be one of only three sites in the world where lava blisters exist, the rocky clusters situated on Byaduk's Old Crusher Road are a must see, up to 10 metres high and 20 metres in diametre. Caused by lava flow, the blisters - or Tumuli - originated from the molten rock from Mount Napier, standing tall in their natural state. North of the blisters are Byaduk Caves, also formed by fast flowing lava. Here, you can wander among the walking tracks and observe the view of flora, fauna and lava features.
