Exceptional Dining Experience!
My husband and I celebrated our 10th Wedding Anniversary here last night. The service was impeccable and the dishes selected were beautifully presented and tasted absolutely divine! Set in a quaint Queenslander, the restaurant has a very homely and cosy feel. I also loved the separate rooms and for those that prefer, seating is also available on the front verandah. Dessert was presented on a plate with a happy anniversary message which of course, is always a lovely, thoughtful touch. The drinks menu was also spot on. We enjoyed a lovely bottle of prosecco, however there are many wine, cocktail, spirit and other options. Our evening at The Cottage Restaurant was thoroughly enjoyable and I can 100% recommend this venue for anyone looking for a special place to enjoy fine cuisine! Thank you!

We have been many times, the 7 course degustation with wines is amazing, high tea is just delightful and normal menus are fab as well. Super fancy and just perfect for special occasions. Can not rate high enough.

It is as good as a 2 michelin starred restaraunt in France. It takes me an hour and a half to get there but the experience never seems to fault.

The food was impeccable, the service was paced which is great, and the value for what you get is remarkable.
For anyone who wants a great night out with friends and family I highly recommend the cottage restraunt.

As my wife and I booking was 6 30 we arrived a bit earlier choosing to order some fantastic cocktails like the Toblerone and vampire kiss. They were simply delicious.

As we began our 7 course degustation consisting of such a versatile and unique set of courses. The quail was mouth watering so gracefully paired with a brandade, sweet chard capsicum, and salsa Verde.

The eccentric palette cleanser was a cucumber sorbet which was so refreshing especially as it's summer.

The search sirloin, nasturtium, mushroom gel, potato sarladaises and jue was phenomenal.

Closely followed by our final course which was dessert consists of chocolate tart, resperries, and a creme fraiche sorbet which ended our meal so wonderfully leaving us with such a happy and unforgettable experience.

As I only stated a few courses from the 7 degustation. Spending less than 300 dollars I was outstanding by the remarks of the value the cottage restraunt consists of in their character and their food.

My family and I enjoyed every course. There were some foods that so typically do not eat that even I loved, because it was clearly prepared with skill and care.

A beautiful dining experience from start to finish.
We selected the Wagu beef for 2, it was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. The wait time for meals was acceptable, allowing us to enjoy the lovely ambience of the restaurant. The wait staff were attentive without being intrusive, overall a very enjoyable and pleasant dining experience. Well done to all concerned.

This beautiful fine dining restaurant is set in a lovely cottage. The food was divine and you can tell that the head chef Mark and his team have years of culinary experience behind them.
Beautifully presented and tasting food with a great atmosphere all round.

Fantastic culinary experience
Every single member of our party was immensely impressed with the food they've consumed. The chef certainly knows how to cook the protein well, and the flavour combinations are very creative, surprising and exciting. Atmosphere was wonderfully intimate. Considering the fine dining experience this place offers, the prices were acceptable. We can highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to challenge their taste buds and have a little dining adventure.

Great service
Not only was the food perfection, but the service was fantastic. Young, attentive staff and they even humoured me on my cocktail order. We will definitely be coming back and working our way through the menu. Highly recommend a table on the front verandah, it makes for a great atmosphere with the historical St Mary’s church on the horizon.

The Cottage Restaurant where the food is cooked and presented perfectly. Mark and Angela opened their restaurant earlier to accommodate our family Saturday Lunch for our Mum's 90th birthday as i found out when I was leaving I mentioned how I couldn't understand why the place wasn't packed Angela said "We don't usually open for lunch" which made us feel so special. Thank you Mark and Angela so very much!

Exceptional!
It looks like a little cottage but it's anything but! When I wonder in I'm always greeted by with amazing hospitality a warm smile. Truly one of Ipswich's fine dining hidden treasures.

Intimate dining, amazing food and service
Chef Mark creates the most amazing meals from entrees, mains and desserts. My favourite so far was the Wagyu beef. It was cooked to perfection, and the sides were gorgeous. It is fantastic not to have to travel for the best steak! Also Angela makes a fantastic coffee, with perfect Crema. As a coffee snob she is one of very few Baristas who I give top marks to. I love the venue, the view over Ipswich and the intimate service style. Well done and hope you are here for many years to come.

A big thank you to Angela, Mark and staff at The Cottage for making my mother's 80th birthday just perfect. The set up, food and service was outstanding. We had 30 guests ranging in age from 5-85 years with everyone accommodated for. I strongly recommend The Cottage Restaurant for your next function, special event or dining experience.

We had our first meal at the Cottage Restaurant tonight and I am so pleased that it was a wonderful dining experience. The food was well presented and terrific. The service was attentive with no staff hovering by. We were seated on the verandah which added to our enjoyment. We would definitely recommend The Cottage and we will be returning there soon.
