Set on busy Bunn Street in Pyrmont a short stroll from Pyrmont Bay, is hot Thai fusion destination Long Kin restaurant. Harbourside shoppers and eager Sydney foodies pile in to get their helping of authentic Thai with a modern twist, in a brightly lit space thanks to floor to ceiling windows, yellow drop down lights and a cheerful monkey theme featuring a mural of a banana holding mascot. Inside, or out in the sunshine, perhaps initiate proceedings by sampling the satay chicken skewers, before moving on to some pad Thai noodles with chicken and shrimp in a tamarind and palm sugar sauce. Those looking for something light and fresh will be drawn to the banana blossom salad with prawns, chicken mince, nuts coriander and chilli jam, while a lychee and lime snowflake does well to finish.
