2 Tbs pure maple syrup (preferably dark syrup for its robust flavour)
1/3 cup vodka
1 Tbs Kahlua
2 Tbs cooled espresso coffee
3 coffee beans (for decoration)
Put martini glass in the fridge to chill.
Make a shot of freshly brewed espresso coffee.
Place the maple syrup, vodka, Kahlua, and espresso in a cocktail shaker with a handful of ice.
Shake vigorously, until the outside of the cocktail shaker feels ice cold, then strain into the chilled martini glass.
Garnish with 3 coffee beans and serve immediately.
