1 pinch of salt
1 tsp Tajin
2/35cup fresh lime juice
2 green chillies, thinly sliced
2 lime slices
2/5 cup silver tequila
4 Tbs pure maple syrup (preferably amber syrup for its rich taste)
Crushed ice, to serve
To garnish:
Extra green chillies and sliced lime.
Salt rim:
Combine salt and Tajin powder in a shallow bowl.
Run the lime slices around the outside of the two tumblers, then dip into the salt-Tajin mixture.
Set aside while you make the Margarita.
To make the Margarita:
Add the lime juice, chilli, tequila and maple syrup in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake vigorously until the shaker is ice-cold to the touch.
Strain into the prepared glasses, add fresh ice and garnish with extra chillies and limes.
