45mL vodka
30mL lime juice
30mL sugar syrup
50 g lime wedge
20 g red onion
20 g lemongrass
Kaffir lime leaves
In a cocktail shaker (or tall glass if you don’t have one); muddle some lime, red onion, lemongrass & kaffir lime leaves. This helps release the fragrant aromas to make the flavour of the drink!
Take a small cocktail/coupe glass and rim the outside with a lime wedge and coat with a mix of Thai spice mix and grounded roasted brown rice, which you can find at your Asian grocer.
Once you have finished muddling the aromatics, add some ice and add in your vodka, lime juice and sugar syrup. Shake until just chilled. You can tell this is ready when there’s some condensation forming around your shaker/glass.
Double strain using a cocktail strainer and mesh sieve into the glass and garnish with a kaffir lime leaf. Now sit back and enjoy your Piquancy!
