With the succulent shellfish coming from Berny's own oyster leases on the Clyde River, there are none more juicy in Batemans Bay and are best slurped sitting alfresco at black table settings, not far from the water. Almost everything is housemade, from hand-cut old school chips to prawn cutlets, skewers and calamari rings, while prawns are sourced directly off the trawler in Cairns, cooked on the boat and snap frozen. Pick up a parcel of battered or grilled Grenadier, Dory, perch, flathead or flake, alongside potato cakes, Tassie scallops, battered savs and salt and pepper squid to enjoy in the sun at the park across the road.
