About Blue Angel
A few words from Blue Angel
Misto Crudo: lobster carpaccio, mixed fish sashimi selection, salmon tartare, oysters and lobster soup.
Opening its doors in 1961, Blue Angel on Palmer Street has long been serving East Sydney diners a vast selection of seafood and Italian cuisine in a Mediterranean setting. The chosen restaurant for many famous international guests, who have wined and dined on dishes including Wagyu beef, pasta and seafood; choose your own rock lobster from the large saltwater tank and let the Chefs whip you up a fresh seafood signature dish. Perhaps start with cured Wagyu bresaola and toasted Italian bread, or grilled King prawns, with garlic oil and chilli; before pasta tempters like tagliatelle with scampi, oil, garlic and tomato, while steak lovers opt for Wagyu with foie gras and Port wine sauce. Crispy pork belly, rosemary potatoes, crisp garden salad and seasonal vegetables satisfy larger appetites.

Good Lobster
Blue Angel was very blue when I entered. I was told that the chef gives you special attention along with the food that is beyond delicious. The lobsters stood out that day because of how fresh it was and getting lobsters right isn't always easy. Blue Angel nailed it!
A worth It Experience
When my wife and I first discovered Blue Angle Restaurant, our tummies knew no bounds. We got it all, the delicious seafood and our favourite Italian cuisine. The chef always makes sure we have a good time and keeps asking us if the food is good. We love Blue Angel. The chef is an Angel!
Very Exciting Menu
I was really excited about Blue Angel when I first entered this restaurant. The menu was filled with both my favourite cuisines - Seafood and Italian food! The chef personally comes and tells you about the restaurant's speciality which made my evening really special. This place has sweet memories!
Good Friend and Family Place
Blue Angel is one of my favourite places to unwind on a weekend with my family and friends. Last week we celebrated my daughter's 5th birthday there and the staff made sure, our friends had a lovely time with the food, drinks, service everything! We cut her cake, sang a lot of songs and had a lovely time! Thanks for such hospitable service Blue Angel.
Go-to Restaurant
Blue Angel has been our go-to restaurant for all our family occasions be it a birthday, anniversary, promotion party or simply just celebrating life. The restaurant offers us such varied options in food right from seafood to Italian fusions. We love their dessert menu a lot and keep looking forward to this place.
Fresh, Juicy and Sweet Lobster
I came here with my school friends for a reunion and had this funny joke about the lobster and its serotonin levels back then and wanted to try it out from this restaurant. The lobster was soo fresh and sweet. The best part about it is that it wasn't placed on Ice because the owner said it damages the flavour. Thanks for the service and such a good time Blue Angel!
Cousin's Day Out
Taking the cousin to Sydney to play, to eat seafood, think about the environment of the fish market plus price, or choose Blue Angel. At least the environment is much better than the fish market, and the price of lobster is similar to that of the fish market, so why not choose a restaurant. The dried beef of his family is also very good. Although I don't know the beef for a few years, I can see the professionalism from the setting and explanation of the people's dry cabinet. In short, if it is food, just worry about eating, the physical quality will not disappoint. If you can meet the boss to serve you, it is really lucky. Old-school Italians have a deep understanding of Asian culture. If you understand him, you can learn a lot of knowledge, in fact. Because this restaurant is like a museum, many details can be explored. When you wait, you may wish to study each painting on the wall and you will find yourself immersed in history and art. I personally like this aspect, so every time I go to a restaurant, in addition to the food itself, I will study the environment, search for some stories, and there are many interesting things that can be based on the three generations of Sydney's old restaurants.
I love Blue Angel! The lobster sashimi is amazingly sweet! I have never had such fresh lobster before actually, the taste is lingering around in my mouth and does not fade away. I am also impressed with optopus legs. really really tender.
You need to bring a friend or a group of friends to the restaurant to share. Sharing is quite big. Also, a must-try is their Maotai Icecream. I don't have much knowledge about Chinese rice wine, but I could feel the beauty of the subtle taste which brought into the ice cream. I tried at home to combine ice cream and whiskey, but it turned out horrible, unfortunately! Well done, Blue Angel on this one.
My husband and I went to Blue Angel to celebrate our marriage anniversory. We had the set menu and that was just lovely. Lobster sashimi and seafood platter, seafood paster and dessert, it was just a lovely evening.
I want to thank my husband for his excellent choice and thank Marcello, the owner of the restaurant for the special Maotao Ice Cream. Would love to take my friends next time. Highly recommend this restaurant for any special events.
Great food- sub standard service
Got there at 6:30pm and from the second we sat down, we were rushed to order, eat and get out. The food was amazing ( thankfully), but sub standard service from the main waiter and waitresses. Don’t expect to get a variety of drinks as they don’t have much as 4 out of the 5 drinks we asked for, they didn’t have and was told quite rudely. As mentioned food was great even though a little over the top on prices. In and out with 6 courses in 1 hour.
Seafood Heaven
What to say, I've eaten at many restaurants all over Sydney but the best by far for seafood is Blue Angel. The sushimi to start and a pasta with lobster for main the dishes were incredible. Good value for money, with very high quality produce!! A must visit!
Do you want to eat well? Thats the right place. I'm going there since 2005 and the standard of quality it's always as should, high, really hard to do it. Mercello (the owner) is always there, after 40 years (i think) ,and does it matter who you are, he will prepare for you a Spaghrtti Marco Polo in front of your table with a kart kitchen, with his smile and pleasure. Respect to him once again, thanks. Michelangelo Cecconi
