A taste-bud-tingling menu of South American cuisine awaits discerning Ettalong Beach foodies at new kid on the block, Chica Chica on Broken Bay Road. Newly renovated and revived, the vibe is warm and welcoming with coastal chic accents offering intimate dining only five minutes’ walk from the beach. Take to the first-floor lookout for both indoor and outdoor heated and covered dining and graze on small plates of garlic and serrano chilli prawns, flamed with tequila, served with lime and sourdough; or scallops and pork belly, with chipotle, lime, ginger mayo, sea grapes, rice and sesame seed puffs. For the main, say gracias to beef cheek tacos with avjar, Kewpie and roasted tomatillo salsa; or wood-fired lamb cutlets, burnt pumpkin and miso purée and agrodolce, washed down with a Margarita.
