A great way to spend a pleasant afternoon. Food fantastic and attentive staff. Agree that the restroom is a must visit as is the tour of the garden.
A wonderful experience. The food exceptional, produce store value, the restroom is a must visit. All in a most enjoyable way to spend an afternoon
The Menu is tantalizingly varied. The meals are delicious and well presented and good value. The setting has still some way to go (but work is getting accomplished fast) the service is friendly, yet impeccable . It was a return visit and it will not be the last.Well done!
My husband remembered me saying, many times over the hears, I would really like to go inside if they ever open theirs doors and he booked us in to surprise me for my 50th birthday breakfast, and I was not disappointed. The restaurant only opened roughly 2 weeks ago and they have put in a lot of work. The ambience of the dining room, the kind and attentive service...and then there is the food. We had the pork and crab omelette with a champagne cocktail, it was so nice, light and tasty and a side of home made sour dough, still warm, divine. Thanks so much, great start to the day. Now I just have to wait for the gardens to open next month.
An outstanding dining experience in the Yarra Valley. For years I have driven past the Melba Estate wondering what was beyond the hedge, so I was excited to hear that the gates were opening to the public. The old clock tower and barn have been blended tastefully with the modern additions of the 'cellar door', gallery and restaurant, losing nothing of their original charm. The restaurant is spacious and elegant with picturesque views across the estate. The service was excellent, the menu varied, the food delicious and the presentation exceptional! A truly delightful dining experience and one that I have already recommended to many friends and family. I look forward to returning late October once the garden tours commence. This will quickly become one of the 'gems' of the Yarra Valley experience.
