Emily Taylor on Henderson Street in Fremantle tells a story of character and immense flavour arising from who braved a journey into the unknown. Unseen from the street, enter an expansive, lively world within a world set within tall limestone walls, small and communal dining tables indoors, while an expansive alfresco area under colourful umbrellas beckons on balmy Perth days. Start small with lobster and truffle dumplings, with prawn and sweet aromatic soy, or five-spice pork spring rolls, hot and sour dipping sauce; before share plates such as green chicken curry, young bamboo, eggplant, Thai basil and steamed jasmine rice. Perhaps Peking-style roast duck entices, with pancakes and all the trimmings, or charred beef cheek and sambal matah, best enjoyed with a Sakura Collins gin cocktail.

4 of us went to Emily Taylors and we were blown away with the amazing food that is being served. We chose to do the $65 ph to get a sample of so many things. We left it to the waitress to surprise us and the choices were fantastic. Highly recommend. Great service, the food is to die for.
