Flamecake appears regularly at Richmond and Collinsvale markets to serve flammkuchen - a traditional Bavarian and French dish similar to the pizza but made with a sourdough base and crème fraiche sauce. Flamecake uses almost all Tasmanian produce like crème fraiche from the Meander Valley in their favourite flammkuchen flavour explosions such as the Pumpkin Blue, the Taste of the Ocean and the Farmer’s Favourite. Sweeter options may include smooth vanilla crème fraiche with fresh Tasmanian apricots, blueberries, almond cake crumble and spiced rum.
