About Giorgios

With a fresh new look and the same traditional passion, Giorgios on High Street is an iconic Armadale dining destination. A sleek ambience awaits with sandstone walls, wooden panelling and moody lighting, ideal for romantic rendezvous and after-work drinks; while the alfresco area beckons on balmy days for a cheeky Aperol Spritz and slice of pizza. From snacks of prawn tacos and salmon carpaccio to tantalising mains, the Italian menu with a nod to Mod Oz is sure to entice all tastes; perhaps say buon appetito to wood-fired sesame bread and housemade dips to start. Pasta lovers are in heaven over plates of fettuccine, chicken, mushrooms, onion, avocado, garlic and cream; or delve into a Fishermans Catch main - battered fish, grilled prawns, crispy calamari, house salad, chips and aioli.

Service needs Work
The food was good. In fact excellent, I had a couple of cakes and coffee. The table service was great. The hosting was the letdown. I was spoken to in an impatient way, because I wasn’t sure how it worked given that I wasn’t here for a sitdown meal, I was here to grab a couple of snacks out of the pantry and have a coffee. Just the impatient, high pitched “yeah yeah yeah someone will help you! yeah yeah yeah take a seat! yeah yeah there’s your table!” tone by the hosts. After I had selected my cakes, I couldn’t remember which was my table, and that led to the inpatient redirection, for example.

I’m a woman of colour who came in with my friend’s little African child, so I’m sadly used to being treated this way by certain people, and that was disappointing. Once you spend the money and clearly a normal member of society, the attitude shifts, but I shouldn’t have to earn that. Should be default.

I would like to come back, but I’m going to be honest about my experience here.
