Tucked away down Steampacket Place just metres from the waterfront, this hidden gem delivers a regularly changing seasonal menu in relaxed and intimate surrounds of polished concrete floors, a blue bar and timber table settings. Blended with an exciting selection of French and local wines, the fixed-price menu may deliver offerings like pressed beef shin with beetroot and horseradish to start, followed by orange roughy fillet with mushroom and vermouth. Perhaps saddle of lamb tempts, with broccoli and a salad of leaves, burnt honey and mimolette; finish indulgently with chocolate tarte, quince and Jerusalem artichoke ice cream, or poached vanilla meringue and cardamom custard.
