About La Fettuccina
Established in 1989, La Fettuccina is a long-standing favourite on Cairns’ dining scene, with almost equally long-standing staff. Patrons have been returning time and again to this iconic restaurant to relax under its awning on bustling Shields Street, or rendezvous in a warm, elegant interior where authentic Italian fare is on the menu. Featuring fresh, housemade pasta and local ingredients sourced from nearby farmlands and the bay's glistening waters, dishes are big in size and bursting with flavour. Choose to start with beef carpaccio, olive oil, lemon juice, rocket and Parmesan, or deep-fried fish, prawns and calamari served with salad; before eye fillet steak and creamy mushroom sauce. Pasta lovers opt for spaghetti with prawns, mushrooms, shallots, garlic and chilli in olive oil.
