Located amongst the idyllic surrounds of Sale’s Botanical Gardens and Lake Guthridge, Lakeside Club on the corner of Guthridge Parade and Foster Street is the perfect venue for all ages. There’s a large playroom for the kids, along with a bar for the adults – perhaps pull up a seat outside and take the opportunity to get barefoot with a casual roll of lawn bowls; then hit the bistro for a serve of Modern Australian fare alongside all your favourites. A range of gourmet chicken parmas and Porterhouse steak tick the pub grub box while ever-changing specials give the flavour police something to sing about; start with calamari and prawn twisters with chilli lime aioli, before mains like crumbed lamb cutlets, mashed potato, vegetables and gravy. Finish sweetly with sticky date pudding.
