Well respected in the community for their role in caring for visitors to Maroochydore Beach, Maroochy Surf Club is a family friendly establishment dedicated to casual dining and entertainment; children will be kept busy in the kids’ room while you enjoy the peaceful surrounds or have a flutter in the gaming room before gathering to dine at Flag’s Bistro. Soak up the seafront with a beverage and starter like lemon pepper squid with Asian slaw before diving into a classic bistro main – perhaps crispy skin Atlantic salmon drizzled in citrus beurre blanc or chicken supreme with potato rosti and seasonal vegetables finished with a garlic cream sauce.

The spicy calamari melts in your mouth. I went back several different times to make sure it wasn't a fluke, and loved it each time. The menu includes a good range of daily specials, and each dish we tried was very good, and priced very reasonably. Decor is standard surf club canteen, however service is polite and relatively prompt. Bar prices are good, and drinks range include cocktails.
