About Mascavado
Stirring up the Adelaide pastry scene, Mascavado on Hutt Street brings all things patisserie to the heart of the city. This café, located in an old bank building, rocks a modern fit-out of pastel hues, eye-catching artwork and marble countertops, ideal for lingering over a leisurely coffee while enjoying a buttery, flakey croissant; while street side dishes up a black subway tiled frontage and high stools, to watch the world pass by. Those with a savoury bent may opt for a goats’ cheese and leek quiche to appease hunger, or perhaps a sausage croissant topped with BBQ sauce; while sweet tooths head for delights such as berry and rosemary Danishes, or chamomile, ricotta and honey cake. Don’t forget to grab something freshly made from the cabinet on your way out, such as a blueberry tart.
