About Matta Cafe
Nestled along a secluded strip of Balwyn Road, Matta Café offers an oasis of trailing greenery and fusion fare to Balwyn North diners. Open the pale green front door to find arched windows letting in an abundance of natural light, where high stools are ready for people watching while sipping an aromatic coffee. Perhaps grab a spot on the banquette to ponder a Korean-Japanese inspired all-day menu, plating up tempters such as smoked salmon potato rosti, lemon wasabi cream, pumpkin puree, parsnip chips and fresh lemon. Be enticed by prawn nori tacos, with tempura prawns, crispy fried nori, avocado, pickle, shallots, coriander, cabbage slaw and mayo; finishing with a sweet treat of red velvet bingsu – shaved milk ice, berries, watermelon, vanilla ice cream, meringue cookie and condensed milk.
Great vibe, amazing food, and very friendly staff
