Beautiful Off-Menu Birthday Party

Not too shabby in a city of over 150,000 residents plus many thousands of visiting tourists on top. My personal favourite, your Sizzling Mongolian Beef that I continue to enjoy regularly, is the reason I consider Mr Soy Boy the best restaurant I’ve dined at anywhere!

Good food is like good design, it is obvious, and you wont need a second bite to reconfirm how amazing the flavours of asian cuisine can be, and this restaurant consistently shows it through its mastery of Asian cuisine. I personally recommend Crispy pata to all those curious
A mouthful of heaven
It is difficult to have an experience that literally lingers once the event is over. We had the pleasure of celebrating my mothers birthday at Soy boy.
Great would be an understatement.
The dinner started off with salt and pepper calamari, which was juicy and tender to bite. Too bad there was only a few as I could have easily devoured the entire plate myself.
Over the next hour, we were greeted by one legendary dish after another.
The reinvented char kway teow, I never thought a favourite could be bested in anyway. Seems like I was wrong.
Moreton bay chilli bugs, think singaporean chilli crab but better!
Pork knuckle - never would I have thought this would make a good meal but the meat was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The sauce to go with it just made the whole thing divine.
Scallop Kinilaw, raw scallops with some lemon/lime juice base. Looks beautiful, tastes amazing. If you had to order one entre, make it this one.
Months down the track, I am still in a blissful happy state from that one meal. It was memorable, more so than many others I have had.
Soy boy is the number 1 asian fusion restaurant.
Try them, and you'll regret not doing it sooner.

Delicious food, amazing service
We dined here on the recommendation of a local. Absolutely enjoyed the food, we shared our dishes, so tried quite a few different meals/entrees. Couldn’t fault a thing. Only problem I have is I live interstate & can’t make it a regular destination. Superb .

Spectacular Food!
I am now a frequent diner at Mr Soy Boy. Ferdi puts a great deal of effort into each dish he creates. The presentation, the fresh ingredients used and, of course, the flavor of each dish is second to none. This is all complimented with wonderful attentive service, intimate setting and value for money. Would definitely recommend for everyone to try

A truly amazing experience. The food, the service, the atmosphere ... absolutely superb. The blending of fresh, local produce with asian-fusion is a treat for all the senses. Mr Soy Boy is always number one on my food holiday bucket list when my family and I are visiting Cairns. I live in Melbourne and having eaten extensive Asian cuisine, I rate Ferdi’s cooking above anything else. When I’m not in Cairns, I miss his food! Our favourite dishes is the Roast Family platter, which is unbelievably good value for money and the traditional Filipino noodle dish ‘Pansitbihon’. The service is next to none and the new renovation makes for an inviting and relaxed vibe within the restaurant. I highly rate Mr Soy Boy to all my friends in Cairns and Melbourne alike. Can’t wait to go back!
The food at mr soy boy is to just divine, the service upon entry from the head chef makes you feel really welcome and shows hat he cares about who walks into the restaurant. Service is always with a smile and the hardest thing about the restaurant is what to pick from the menu, everything is incredible... you definitely have to treat yourself to 3 courses ??... By far the best Asian food in cairns and some of the best I have ever eaten.. Hats off to Ferdi and Lanya can’t wait to eat at Mr Soy Boy again ??

Sizzling Mongolian beef.
Tonight I had the sizzling Mongolian beef and it was absolutely delicious the beef melted in your mouth it was tender and juicy. The dining room setting was clean and set out exceptionally well. The service from wait staff to chef was impeccable. Can't highly recommend this place enough.
great food & service easy parking
We've been to Mr Soyboy twice now, generous portions of delicious Pan Asian cuisine and great service. Our only problem has been in choosing something from the extensive menu. So far we've tried the spicy Char Kway Teow, Pancit Bihon traditional Filipino noodles, the Trio of Meats Asian meat medley and chef Ferdis signature twice -cooked crispy pork knuckle - all superb; not to mention the best curry puffs & pork dim sims we've ever tasted. Mr Soyboy is only 5 minutes drive from the Cairns CBD with none of the parking hassles. If you like authentic Asian food cooked with flair & passion you'll love it at Mr Soyboy!
Simply divine
Upon arrival my friend and I were warmly greeted by Lanya and were seated in what looked to be an amazing restaurant. The atmosphere was cool, calm and relaxed. Unsurprisingly, the food was even better, with myself having the sizzling beef and my friend choosing the Malaysian curry chicken. Both were excellent dishes, and as we were preparing to leave Ferdi came to thank us for dining in his restaurant, another example of Mr Soy Boy's excellent level of service.
Outstanding Food and service
Oh wow this place served the most delicious food i have had in years. The chicken curry and sizzling beef were amazing. We will be back next time in Cairns and bringing our mates. Go there now.
Delicious food
I have frequented Mr Soy Boy pretty much since it started, and it has not skipped a beat. The roast meats (especially the pork belly!) are to die for, the curries(big thumbs up to the beef rendang) are full of flavour, and the stir fries are fresh and delicious.
I have eaten at Mr SoyBoy in several occasions. Ferdi And the team is always open and friendly. His food is tasty and genuine. Servings are generous.

Had dinner at Soy Boy 2 weeks ago and food was incredibly delicious! everything is irresistibly fantastic and tell you what? it was a SATISFACTION. We tried the Soy Boy special Pork Pata and believe me the moment it was served on our table our reaction was a jaw dropping scene, really recommended, a must try dish at soy boy. The ambiance is warm with Asian touch of colors and paintings, spacious i would say, the Chef/owner themselves are very accommodating to their guests too. Had a great time and enjoy the food! Cheers! definitely will come back, the best Asian restaurant in Cairns! :)
We first discovered Mr Soy Boy when we weren’t expecting it and we haven’t looked back. We were welcomed by Ferdi the owner like we were old friends. And then we were treated with the food.....oh, the food. It is something to look forward to when we are in Cairns for the day. Best little restaurant in Cairns.

I know Ferdi as a Top Chef always improving et due to perfection I did eat all his different dishes and Been myself the Past President board Chairman Of IC "Les Toques Blanches and Judge culinaire I can guarantee that Ferdi make all his sauces everything is cooked on the time with love...Ferdi is like all the top Chefs a bit crazy but been crazy myself I cannot blame Him. If you have a palate to distinguish the flavours Ferdi will make you budds blow up... I will p[ut him as the top order of the Chefs of Modern Asian Cuisine....
