Muse Restaurant
Best Known For
Muse Coconut, a refreshing desert with coconut cream, coconut clouds and chocolate. The desert looks like a real coconut, though it is entirely eatable.

Superb
An exceptionally well priced fine dining experience. Privileged to be a local and have this amazing establishment on my doorstep!
Hunter Valley's best
Easily the best degustation in the asunder Valley complemented by a beautifully curated wine selection.
Still the best in the Valley
They say that there is one thing harder than getting to the top and that is staying on top. Muse restaurant has been the gold standard in the Hunter Valley for many years now and we were keen to see how they had bounced after the recent Covid19 closures and restrictions. So last night we were thrilled to see that they are back to their brilliant best. A 4+ course degustation menu was on offer and we took their suggested wine match for each course. You know that you are a good thing when some of the included wines were Vat 1, Lakes Folly Chardonnay and 2005 Sweetwater Shiraz. The service was effortless, and the food was exceptional and flawless from Oysters right through to the famous Muse coconut dessert. I could write a book about the food alone. Every mouthful and morsel was such a delight. Muse have a way of making you feel very special and my VIP guests reported that this was the best complete meal experience in their recent memory and they dine 5 star a lot. In my opinion Muse retains the Crown and are the standard by which all restaurants can be measured. A big wrap but well deserved and is a testament to Troy and his entire crew. We look forward to joining them again very soon.
Wow wow wowed
Outstanding service, beautiful food and a lovely atmosphere. It far exceeded our already high expectations.
At various times I have been to Muse for a formal wine dinner, afternoon tea and a just-the-two-of-us experience. The only thing that changes is the variety of superbly prepared dishes. The decor, the service, the attention to making me feel special remains. No rush - just a feeling of country relaxation. Food, wine, friends, ambience - does it get any better than this?
Wow, such an amazing evening, service is so enjoyable, makes for a special night out. It's a must do on any foodies list. Yum
This was my first visit to Muse and was my Husbands choice because they had been well recommended. Vegetarian menu is very generous, I had the Swiss brown mushroom tortellini- delectable. We cant wait to bring friends back for the degustation menu!
I dined at Hungerford Hill winery in 1979 at the age of 4. So when I decided to go on a bit of a nostalgia trip my fiance and I decided to dine at Muse whilst on holidays.
From the moment we got to the front doors of the restaurant to the moment we left the service was absolutely perfect. Our waiters for the evening, Ben and Boris were wonderful. They were knowlegable regarding our choice of wines to go with our meals. They were friendly without being too casual.
The food was to die for, we both had the Nitro icecream and donut dessert, sounds so simple yet is so decadent that it is simply a must. It was the attention to detail that really blew us away, from Ben knowing all about the glass wear we were drinking out of to the small caramalised onion scroll we were served upon being seated.
If you are going to the Hunter I strongly recommend a meal at Muse, you will not regret it.
