Quick business lunch 8th Nov 24. I ordered the rump steak MR, mash, vegetables and pepper sauce with a calamari topper. The steak was cooked spot on, was reasonably tender, well-seasoned. The vegetable could have benefited with seasoning and being drained a little more, but as far as frozen vegetable goes, they weren't bad. The pepper sauce was ok. The calamari were crispy but had a stringy membrane in tack, which took away from the pleasure, they lacked the promised S&P. I was very disappointed with the Mash, it lacked, seasoning, butter or cream. seemed like only milk was used. for and Irish pub this is and almost unforgivable sin. The service and atmosphere were excellent. even the IRA rebel songs were great. I will return but might order chips instead.
