Brunch on a perfect summer day
Just a short walk away from Cronulla train station and with plenty of parking next to the café, the “Pilgrims Vegetarian Café” has an almost hidden mini entry wedged between a laundry and a barber shop that can (almost) be missed. Yet, the staircase upstairs offers a large and invitingly decorated café with windows overlooking Cronulla beach. A dream spot on any sunny day.
From its appealing “day” menu, we ordered the pancakes (the lot) that came with buttermilk pancakes, fresh fruit, and coconut yogurt on top as well as the ultra-exquisite haloumi stack with grilled haloumi, on toasted sourdough, avocado, roasted tomato, pesto, etc. Both dishes were an utter delight next to the cappuccino and the café latte that the highly attentive staff served in no time. This is a place where locals go. It is thoroughly enjoyable place featuring high on our “let’s go again” list. Well done, Pilgrims.
