Lunch-date in town
Situated a stone throw away from Town Hall station and tram stop, this Italian eatery – Primi Italian – is a buzzling lunchtime and dinner place. With ample parking next door, this is a busy place.

Our aperitivo was the delicious, crispy and fresh calamari fritti – loligo baby calamari served with homemade lemon aioli.

For the mains, we selected linguine gamberi with local tiger prawns, lime, chilli, blistered cherry tomato, rocket and ricotta cheese as well as char grilled chicken scaloppine – marinated chicken breast with creamy mash potato, served in mushroom sauce. Both were exactly as it should be – pure unpretentious Italian food.

For dessert, we had one of the most typical dishes Italian cuisine has to offer, tiramisu with grated dark chocolate as well as the most exquisite panna cotta with with mixed berries. The panna cotta was an utter delight. An almost obligatory espresso ended a fabulous lunch in a setting that borders on the romantic. This is a “let’s go back” kind of place. Well done Primi and your wonderful staff.
