Much more than meets the eye
Walking past Strathfield my family wasn't too sure where to dine, then we found Royal India sitting quietly amongst a sea of Korean restaurants. From the outside, this restaurant seems very pricey and lavish, but the menu speaks otherwise. We entered and was greeted by the friendly waiter who sat us on the bench and helped us pick from the expansive menu ( wasn't easy too decide). After about 20 minutes, our entree chicken tikka came out on a sizzler. We dug in and loved it! Crispy skin, aromatic flavouring and soft juicy meat on the inside. For main we ordered a prawn curry, a chicken curry, and a beef chilli fry with rice and jalapeno naan. Much like the entree it was delicious. For dessert we had the kulfi and it was beautifully presented and delicious, it was a bit icey but if you wait a few minutes it becomes very soft. Overall, it was an awesome night with great attentive service and great value for money. It's a real mystery why this restaurant was so quiet, despite serving quality food. I highly recommend this place and will be visiting again soon.
Came here after work with a few mates as this is my favourite indian restaurant in Syd. Really nice food at an affordable price. The restaurant's setting is done up nicely, looks quiet up-market. There is also parking behind the restaurant so there's no issue in that regards.
Cheap. Neat Decor. True indian food. Highly recommended. been here quintuplet times, coz i live locally : DD best indian restaurant in sydney according to me : D
