About Rusty Fig

Nestled on the west end of St Georges Terrace in the heart of Perth’s CBD, Rusty Fig is an oasis from the hectic pace of city surroundings. Named after a more than 130-year-old Port Jackson fig tree that is the centrepiece of the outdoor deck, perhaps start with drinks at one of two bars with inviting leather stools, before checking out the action in the open kitchen; then head upstairs to the restaurant where elegant décor and plush armchairs await. Scallops, Jerusalem artichoke purée and crisps and sautéed mushrooms entice to start, moving onto memorable mains such as Geraldton lobster, potato gratin, white and green asparagus with a Champagne butter sauce. Decadent desserts like a dark chocolate bar, chocolate sponge, mandarin and yoghurt ice cream are sure to tempt.

Great atmosphere, excellent food, friendly service
Nestled in a quiet corner of the Perth CBD, this incredible fine dining establishment provides a relaxed and luxurious atmosphere.

Offering, at the time I was there, a well balanced six-course degustation dining experience or an à la carte menu, neither choice will leave you wanting.

Of the degustation menu, every dish was prepared with meticulous care and attention to detail. Using only the finest quality ingredients Graham has crafted a series of perfectly balanced and complementary dishes that marry flavours with grandmaster precision.

Of course I cannot forget to mention the beverage menu; Graham has curated a comprehensive selection of wines, beers, spirits, cocktails, mocktails, soft drinks, teas, and coffee which ensures that no matter what your tastes are, there's a choice to suit.

Lastly, Graham has assembled a team who shares the same meticulous attention to detail, care, and passion as himself; culminating in an unforgettable dining experience.

Overall, the Rusty Fig is not just worth a deviation in your travel plans, but in all honesty would be worth an entire trip to visit. Do yourself a favour and make a booking.
