About Salty at Toogoom
Soak up sea breezes and ocean vistas at Salty Squid on Moreton Street in Toogoom. Kick back and relax with an Octane artisan coffee among aqua walls and polished wood, or choose to sit alfresco on a wraparound verandah and people watch. This dog-friendly bistro dishes up fresh succulent seafood, alongside housemade cakes, slices and desserts from a breakfast and lunch menu of Mod Oz favourites. Start your day with house baked beans, served on sourdough with avocado, baby spinach, grilled tomato and bacon; while lunchgoers kick start a leisurely meal with crisp housemade pork spring rolls and hoisin sauce. For the main affair, opt for local whiting, served with house tartar and a fresh salad; or perhaps a seafood basket for two, with fresh and battered prawns, fish, squid, chips and salad.

Refreshing, beautifully relaxing dining experience..
Had such a wonderful time at the salty squid cafe today, friendly staff, wonderful coffee and treats.. oh and did I forget to mention how good the food is, all round wonderful time. Thank you salty squid!!
I take the kids here most weekends for a Milkshake or Ice Cream. When we have the time, while the kids are at school, my wife and I have morning tea here. We love the friendly atmosphere and the delicious food and coffee. It's close enough to the water to have a beautiful breeze and being in Toogoom it’s calm and quiet. I've spoken to a few people here who make a regular weekend trip out from the Bay to come here so that's proof in itself that this place is great.
Love coming here, have been doing so for years. Love the new burger menu, the blueberry tarts , coffee and pies.
I visit the salty squid, very regularly if it my favourite cafe, the coffee is great and an absolute must is Ian's Lemon Maringue Pie. It is also my dogs favourite cafe after a long walk on the beach, perfect :)
We dine at the Salty Squid at least once a week, and have done so for the last couple of years. Not once have we been disappointed in the meals or the service - guess that's why we keep going back (and it's a 30km round trip)!
