Manager very rude — never going back
Sadly we had a very bad experience with Siam Twist recently and can't bring ourselves to ever go back. Turns out that the customer is always wrong at Siam Twist :( Thankfully Wilburs next door still give good service. Apparently Wilburs are not openly rude to their customers. We have been going to Siam Twist for some years, the food has generally been quite good and the staff are always friendly — except for the manager. He has recently been very rude and unresponsive. We had an experience ordering meals for 4 people via Ubereats, who called but did not knock on our front door... my wife could not call the number back and so politely called Siam Twist for assistance in contacting Ubereats to get our food. All she wanted was some assistance (eg. a phone number), but instead was berated by the ranting manager and told how much of an inconveinience she was being... the call went on for a very long time without the caller saying much. It was like listening to a naughty primary school student being told off by the headmaster. We never got our food. Having supported the business for some years, I thought I'd go down there to talk to the owner (Andrew) about the issue, to see if we could remedy things (for the sake of his business, there are many Thai restaurants in the area) — I ended up leaving a detailed message in his absence and my contact details, and was assured the manager would contact me ASAP — the manager has not been in contact and so we can no longer give Siam Twist our business, nor can recommend this place to our many friends in the area and abroad. This could have been easily resolved if the manager had tried to be helpful in the first place, rather than lecturing the customer. This could have been sorted out if the manager was receptive to me reaching out... but alas this is not the case. Such a shame! Won't be going back, and expect the business to fold before too long.
