There’s a great lively atmosphere to this little establishment, painted in vibrant orange with a funky brick feature wall on one side and chandeliers dangling from the ceiling. Sizzling Fillo is one of the few places in Sydney where you’ll find authentic Filipino cuisine and the friendly staff are only too happy to make recommendations. As well as the famous crispy pork hock, look out for the sinigang (prawn, pork or milkfish and mixed vegetables cooked in a tamarind soup) and leche flan, the Philippines’ answer to crème caramel.
